At Knitfest, spend the day enjoying expert-led talks, hands-on workshops, and a yarn-filled marketplace – all in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. With our flight-inclusive package, meet Debbie Abrahams and your Tour Manager at a London airport for your flight to Zürich. On arrival, we will be met by our coach and driver and transfer to the hotel.

Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland and was once home to Einstein, James Joyce and Wagner. With our local guide, we will enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town, learning about the city’s past as we stroll its hidden alleyways and picturesque squares.
Enjoy the afternoon at leisure for independent sightseeing. You might like to take a cruise on Lake Zürich, visit the home of Lindt chocolate or one of the many museums, stroll by the lake or shop on famous Bahnhofstrasse.

Knitfest is a vibrant and friendly festival where yarn enthusiasts come together to learn, share, and be inspired. We’ll spend a full day enjoying everything this lively event has to offer.
The knitting lounges provide a welcoming space to swap tips, share stories, and enjoy some relaxed stitching in great company – a perfect spot to unwind and meet fellow makers. Throughout the day, there are engaging speakers and panel discussions featuring well-known designers, popular YouTubers, and fibre arts experts, covering everything from techniques to the latest trends.
A wide range of workshops led by international designers and teachers offer the chance to build skills and spark creativity. And of course, no visit would be complete without browsing the bustling marketplace, filled with hand-dyed yarns, global wool brands, and the latest tools and accessories – an absolute treat for anyone passionate about fibre crafts.

Please Note: You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness to get the most out of this holiday. On excursion days you will need to walk a short distance from the hotel to the coach and you should be able to board the coach unaided. On arrival at the excursion destination, you should be able to alight the coach unaided and there may be a walk between the coach drop off point and the excursion venue. By their nature, walking tours, museum visits etc involve being on your feet for a significant amount of time. Whilst our excursions are taken at a leisurely pace, for the enjoyment of everyone in the group you should be able to keep up with your fellow travellers.
