Itinerary
Please choose your preferred 3 day itinerary
Skill Level: This weekend is not suitable for beginners. You should be an intermediate crocheter who can complete a granny square and is familiar with the basic stitches.
Requirements List: 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm hook, yarn needle and scissors.
Make your own way to the hotel and check in to your room from 3pm. Get to know your expert, Retreat Manager and fellow crafters over dinner this evening.

This project is all about letting go of convention and enjoying the freedom to experiment, so expect a joyful mix of shades and textures from the very start! We begin by crocheting a variety of leaves, exploring how simple embroidery can add extra detail and personality to each piece. In the afternoon, we move on to more intricate fern designs, introducing wire into the crochet to create structure and shape.

Today we bring the wreath to life with the final decorative details. We begin by crocheting a selection of three-dimensional flowers and decorative baubles, experimenting with fun colour combinations. You’ll have time to build your collection of flowers and embellishments, choosing how to combine colours and shapes to make your wreath truly your own.
This afternoon, we’ll assemble the finished pieces onto the wreath, arranging leaves, ferns, flowers and baubles to create a vibrant display. By the end of the weekend, you’ll have a striking handcrafted wreath that can brighten your home in any season.
Following the workshop, depart the hotel and make your own way home.

Tour Notes: Although there are no mobility requirements for this tour, please note that you will need to be able to make your own way between our workshop rooms, your bedroom and therestaurant, which could involve walks of up to 5 minutes. If you require full disabled access, please check with us before booking.

Set in 30 acres of beautiful countryside, the 4-star Blunsdon House Hotel is situated in the village of Broad Blunsdon. All the individually decorated bedrooms have flat-screen televisions, a safety deposit box, telephone, hairdryer and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There are two restaurants and three bars to relax in and enjoy a drink after a day of exploring. Alternatively, guests can take a swim in the indoor heated swimming pool (charge applies) or enjoy a walk around the beautiful hotel grounds.

If you are travelling by car the hotel is a 25 minute drive from junction 15 of the M4 or 40 minutes drive from junction 11a of the M5. Ample car parking on site free of charge. There are also 4 EV Charging points.
